South Carolina woman wins $100,000 lottery prize on scratch-off ticket

A lucky lottery player in South Carolina recently won $100,000 on a scratch-off ticket from a convenience store located in Latta, which is approximately 75 miles northwest of Myrtle Beach.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, purchased a $3 Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword game ticket and was left in disbelief after discovering her win.

Upon initially realizing that she had won, the woman sought the opinions of her father and husband before confirming the win herself.

She had her father count the number of words that appeared on the ticket, which was styled like a crossword puzzle, to be sure of her win.

After confirming her win, the lucky winner took home $69,500 after taxes. The South Carolina Education Lottery reported on the win on March 16, 2023.
