Lucky Howard County guy scoops $2.2 million recently in powerball lottery game

Howard County resident, Michael Robinson, recently won a $100,000 Powerball prize after matching four out of five white-ball numbers plus the Powerball.

Robinson purchased his ticket at the Royal Farms store located at 7100 Minstrel Way in Columbia. Robinson said he was shocked when he realized he had won a substantial prize.

He plans to use the winnings to pay off his car and take a well-deserved vacation. The Powerball jackpot for the drawing on April 3rd was $120 million. The winning numbers were 8, 17, 24, 25, and 34.

The Powerball number was 10. Robinson's win is the latest in a series of large Powerball wins in Howard County in recent months.

The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check their tickets carefully and visit the nearest claiming center if they believe they have won a prize.
