A Perth couple becomes overnight millionaire after winning $20 million

A Perth couple have become overnight millionaires after winning a $20 million lottery jackpot.

The couple, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased their winning ticket at the South Beach Lottery Centre in Cottesloe.

The winning numbers were 15, 16, 17, 25, 29 and 32, and the couple matched all six numbers in the draw on Saturday night.

The couple said they were “over the moon” with their win. “We’ve been playing the lottery for years, but never expected to win this big,” said the ecstatic couple.

The couple plan to use their winnings to pay off their mortgage and take a well-deserved holiday. Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the win was a fantastic result for the couple.

“We’re delighted to see such a big win in WA. It’s always exciting when someone wins a major prize and we congratulate the winners on their good fortune,” she said.
