A couple from Colorado wins $1 million recently in Colorado lottery

A Colorado couple is celebrating a big win from the Colorado Lottery. The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, matched all five numbers in the Colorado Lotto game recently to take home the $1 million top prize.

They purchased their lucky ticket from the Family Dollar on South Federal Boulevard in Denver. The store will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The couple said they plan to use their winnings to pay off some bills and treat themselves to a nice vacation. “We’re still in disbelief,” the couple said in a statement.

“It’s a dream come true. We’re so thankful to have this opportunity and we’re excited to see what the future holds.”

The Colorado Lottery has awarded over $3.8 billion in prizes to players since it began in 1983.
