$1 Million Lottery Ticket Sold in Iowa Just One Number Away from Mega Millions Jackpot

A $1 million lottery ticket was purchased at QuikTrip on SE 14th Street in Des Moines for Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, according to the Iowa Lottery.
The ticket was just one number away from winning the $229 million jackpot.
The other two $1 million tickets for the same drawing were sold in California and North Carolina.
The winner in Iowa has up to a year to claim their prize at the Iowa Lottery Headquarters in Clive.
The Mega Millions numbers drawn were 1-7-23-38-55, with a Mega Ball of 2 and a Megaplier number of 3.
