Staten Islander joins $1M club after winning top prize on NY Lottery scratch-off

Glenn Walther Jr., a resident of Staten Island, has claimed the $1 million top prize on the Golden Fortune scratch-off game from the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Keshi's Deli in Port Richmond, and Walther received a single lump sum payment of $465,302 after required withholdings.

Despite Walther's win, there are still two of the top prizes available on the $1,000,000 Golden Fortune scratch-off tickets, according to the New York Lottery.

The New York Lottery remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing a substantial $3.6 billion in the fiscal year 2021-2022 to support public K-12 education in New York State.

With multiple scratch-off games and other options available, the New York Lottery continues to attract those hoping to win big while contributing to a good cause.
