Regina man won life altering lottery prize

The winner intends to use the majority for home expenses and possibly a family vacation.

A lucky man from Regina won $250,000 in a Lotto Max draw and said that his wife had been dreaming of a lottery win for years.

The winning ticket was sold on February 20 at the Lotteries Kiosk in the Cornwall Centre Mall in Regina. He matched all the winning numbers

The winning numbers were 5, 8, 7, 7, 2, 3, 9

The lottery officials talked to the winner “I had to run and get my wife to tell her while she was tucking in our son,” he said in a Sask Lotteries news release.

“She didn’t believe it at first,” Kuntz said he and his wife already have some plans for the money.

“A big chunk will go to our kids’ education.

The majority will go toward our house and maybe a big family vacation,” he said.

He bought his winning Lotto Max and Extra ticket for $6 at the Lotteries Kiosk in the Cornwall Centre Mall in Regina.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters.

The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
