A big $50,000 winning scratch off lottery ticket is sold out in Stamford recently

A $50,000 scratch-off winner was recently sold at a Stamford business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

A resident from Port Chester, N.Y., won the grand prize after playing the $50,000 Cashword game, which was purchased at Cove Road Mini Mart, located at 314 Cove Road.

The Connecticut Lottery website says the ticket price is $5. There are just 20 $50,000 winners out of nearly 10 million tickets of the game.

The winner have to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.

They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
