A Milton man claimed a $5 million top prize from the $20 Monopoly Doubler Scratch-Off game at lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, the Florida Lottery announced Friday.

63-year-old Bernard Waters chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,994,698. Bernard Waters’ winning lottery ticket.

Waters bought the winning ticket at S Food Mart Three, LLC, located at 6025 Stewart St. in Milton. The retailer will get a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $20 Monopoly Doubler Scratch-Off game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.02 with more than $493 million in cash prizes including eight top prizes of $5 million.

Scratch-Off games comprised 72% of the Florida Lottery’s ticket sales in the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
