A lucky retiree becomes overnight millionaire by winning $10 million

An elderly retiree from California has become an overnight millionaire after winning a staggering $10 million lottery jackpot.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he had bought the ticket from a convenience store near his home in Sacramento.

He said he was “shocked” when he found out he had won such a large sum of money and that he had no immediate plans to spend it.

“I’m still trying to process this,” he said. “I’m just going to take some time and think about what I want to do with the money.” The store where he bought the ticket will also receive a bonus of $50,000 for selling the lucky ticket.

The lottery win comes as a welcome surprise for the retiree, who said he had been struggling financially in recent years.
