Lucky Greenfield Couple scoops $5 million recently in Powerball lottery ticket

A couple from Greenfield, a small town in the Midwest, have won a $5 million Powerball jackpot.

John and Mary Smith, both in their forties, said they were in shock when they discovered they had won the draw on Wednesday night. "We just couldn't believe it," said John.

"We were in disbelief for the first few minutes, and then we were just jumping with joy!"

The couple said they plan to use the money to buy a new house, travel the world and save for their children's college education.

"It's a blessing," said Mary. "We feel so lucky and grateful to have this opportunity." The Smiths' win is the latest in a string of big Powerball jackpots.

The previous winner, a single ticket holder from California, won $310 million in November. "This is an incredible feeling and we are so thankful," said John. "We hope that our story will be an inspiration to others."
