A single father from Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, experienced a joyous moment when he won $100,000 in the Fabulous Fortune scratch-off game from Calabash Food & Fuel, a convenience store located near the South Carolina border.
Donald Burgess, a 61-year-old handyman, expressed his excitement after he scratched his $30 ticket and realized that he had won.
Burgess shared with the N.C. Education Lottery that he was jumping up and down in the store and could have danced on the counter.
Store employees and customers congratulated him on his win, which was life-changing for him and his daughter.
