Massachusetts State Lottery winner: $1 million prize won in Quincy

One lucky lottery player won $1 million prize playing Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks” game.

The winning ticket was sold at Hancock Tobacco in Quincy on Friday. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home $650,000 after state and federal taxes. 

As with most U.S. lotteries, the Bay State's lottery games require players to be at least 18 years old.

Drawings are broadcast on WBZ-TV (channel 4) the CBS-station in the Boston television market.

The odds of winning $1 million in “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks,” the second-highest award in the lottery game, are one in 1.512 million.
