“It’s unexplainable,” said O’Brien after the win

An Orangeville resident has some extra change in her pocket and plans to use it to pay some bills and save money after winning nearly $60,000 in the Poker Lotto All In jackpot.

“When I played this game at the store, I thought I won a flush at first,” Hilda O’Brien said at the OLG prize center.

“When I realized it was a royal flush, I shouted, ‘Oh my goodness!’ and my husband ran over. We were both so excited.”

O’Brien went all in to win a $53,131.20 jackpot and $5,000 on the instant portion of her poker lotto play for a total of $58,131.20.

She purchased her winning ticket at R9 Convenience on Rolling Hills Drive. She said it’s difficult to describe how it feels to win.

“It’s unexplainable,” said O’Brien.

“There’s so much excitement. There’s no other way to describe it.”
