Mass. State Lottery winners: 5 $100K lottery prizes won, 4 from ‘Mass Cash’

In Massachusetts, five fortunate individuals struck gold by winning $100,000 lottery prizes over the weekend. Four of these wins were from the highly popular "Mass Cash" game, while the fifth came from the "Powerball" lottery. The winning tickets were purchased at various stores across the state, including 7-Eleven in Lawrence, Nouria in Bedford, Pride gas station and store in East Longmeadow, Richdale Convenience in Stoneham, and Sons of Revere in Revere.

To participate in "Mass Cash," players select five numbers between one and 35, either manually or through the Quic Pic lottery computer system, paying $1 per play. The odds of winning the top prize are one in 324,632, requiring a perfect match of all five numbers.

In the case of "Powerball," players must choose five numbers between one and 69 and one Powerball number between one and 26, also manually or through the Quic Pic system, at a cost of $2 per play. Non-jackpot prizes can be multiplied by up to 10 times for an additional $1 per play. Drawings for both games occur at specific times throughout the week.

While the odds of winning the "Powerball" jackpot are astronomical, at one in over 292 million, the odds of winning $50,000 (which can be multiplied to reach the $100,000 award) are one in 913,129.18.

In addition to the five $100,000 winners, Massachusetts experienced more lottery luck earlier in the week. A $100,000 prize was won from a "Mass Cash" ticket purchased at People's Super Liquor Stores in Fairhaven on Thursday. On Wednesday, a winning $1 million lottery ticket sold at a convenience store in Holyoke was claimed. Furthermore, on Monday, three $100,000 prizes were awarded from the "15,000,000 Money Maker" game.

The Massachusetts State Lottery continues to create excitement and opportunities for fortunate individuals to change their lives with substantial cash prizes.
