A New Jersey resident is taking home the biggest Powerball jackpot win in 2019. The lucky ticket-holder is the winner of the $344.6 million dollar jackpot, marked as the 4th largest Powerball prize of all time.

The lucky winner chose the cash payout option, receiving a total of $198.1 million before applicable taxes. The winning ticket was purchased at a Lukoil gas station in Newfield, Gloucester County.

The record Powerball jackpot of $1.586 billion from January 2016 was also won in New Jersey. This was split between three ticket holders from California, Florida, and Tennessee.

This most recent jackpot-winning ticket was bought hours before the Wednesday evening draw.

It marks the first jackpot win of 2019, after 18 months of rollovers spanning 48 consecutive drawings.
