Education worker from Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation wins $75,000 in lottery

Jessica Shabaquay, a 33-year-old education worker from Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation, is celebrating a big win after playing the lottery for 14 years.

She won $75,000 on an Instant Winner's Circle lottery, and is planning a trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls with her children to visit Canada's Wonderland.

"I play twice a week. This is my first big win!" Shabaquay exclaimed at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

"When I realized I had all the numbers in the winner's circle, I didn't believe it, so I had to check the ticket on the OLG App and that's when I confirmed I won $75,000. I was shaking!"

The winning ticket was purchased at the Red River Co-op Gas Bar on Government Street in Dryden.
