US woman who won Rs 2 crore lottery wants to stay anonymous — in town of 27

A Colorado woman who won $250,000 in the 100X The Cash Bonus Draw has asked to remain anonymous, but her request has proven to be difficult to fulfill in her tiny town of Cowdrey, which has a population of only 27.

The alpaca breeder, who goes by the name Joanie, received the news of her windfall through certified mail and was initially skeptical that it was a scam. She plans to use the money to buy more alpacas and establish a trust fund.

This winner is among a growing list of people who prefer to keep their sudden riches private.

Lotto officials said that even though Joanie had hidden her face for photos, she had said, "Everyone will know!"
