A Massachusetts state lottery player from Mansfield scoops a big jackpot recently

Someone who bought a newly launched lottery ticket from a liquor store in Massachusetts scored a whopping $1 million prize.

The lucky lottery player bought the winning “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket for $50 at Dubs’s Liquors and Fine Wines in Mansfield.

The prize, which amounts to $650,000 before taxes, was claimed Friday, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery’s website.

The State Lottery launched “Lifetime Millions” earlier this month. The new scratch ticket features an unprecedented grand prize of $1 million a year for life.

The cash option on the award is $15.4 million. “Lifetime Millions” also includes four $2 million prizes and 12 $1 million award. The $1 million prize claimed Friday was the first to be claimed in the game. There are 11 left.

The odds in “Lifetime Millions” of winning $1 million, the third-highest prize in the lottery game, are one in 2.1 million.
