A scratch off lottery player from Alamance county wins $100,000

An Alamance County man is the lucky winner of a $100,000 lottery prize. Oscar Galdamez-Escalante, of Burlington, purchased his winning $25 Extreme Cash ticket from Sam’s Grill on NC 119 North in Mebane.
Galdamez-Escalante came to lottery headquarters to claim his prize on Tuesday. He walked away with $71,507 after taxes.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
The winner told the lottery officials that he will be going to pay all his due bills after claiming the winning prize money.
