Lucky Ohio lottery player from Northeast Ohio wins a big jackpot recently

A Columbiana County man is feeling quite lucky, having won $1 million as part of the Ohio Lottery's "Ohio Bonus Cash" scratch-off game.

William Garlough purchased the winning ticket for $10 at Down on Main in his hometown of Leetonia, about 16 miles south of Youngstown.

Officials say he chose the $500,000 cash option, meaning he will receive $360,000 after taxes.

According to the Ohio Lottery, Ohio Bonus Cash offers a roughly one in four chance of winning at least $10, with the grand prize being $40,000 a year for 25 years.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
