A lucky Texan just won a whopping $7.5 million on a Loteria Supreme scratch-off ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sarup Retail Inc., a Shell gas station located on U.S. Highway 87 West, in La Vernia. They have chosen to remain anonymous.

The store clerk Nita Biring who sold the winning ticket said she had no idea who the winning ticket was sold to. "I got a call from a guy, he said, 'Ticket number six, someone won 7.5 million,'" Biring said.

People like Alyssa Gutierrez of La Vernia, Texas, have been flocking into her store off Highway 87 hoping to also scratch a big-time winning ticket.

After scratching their way through a few, Gutierrez said she won $40 while her friend collected $100. "It's not $7.5 million, but it's a start," she said.

This was the second of four top prizes worth $7.5 million to be claimed in this game. Loteria Supreme offers more than $709.9 million in total prizes.
