The winner expressed joy and gratitude on the win

A Cecil County man, originally from Pennsylvania and now a resident of Maryland for two years, has claimed the top $100,000 prize on the 50X The Cash scratch-off game offered by the Maryland Lottery.

The winner, who had a previous experience winning a $50,000 prize a few years back, purchased his winning ticket at Royal Farms in Elkton, on one of his self-proclaimed “lucky days,” Thursdays and Saturdays.

The lucky winner was seated in his car when he scratched off the ticket and uncovered a 10X symbol along with a $10,000 prize. Realizing that his win was 10 times that amount, $100,000, he expressed his joy with celebratory exclamations and shared the news with a family member.

Upon winning, the retiree plans to share half of his newfound wealth with a family member to start a business and intends to purchase a new motorcycle for himself. In his free time, the lucky lottery player enjoys fishing.
