The recent drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery on Monday evening did not yield any tickets that matched all six numbers, causing the estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday to grow to $100 million.
The numbers drawn were 3, 17, 26, 38, 54, and the Powerball number was 15. The previous jackpot on Monday was worth $87 million.
In California, no tickets were sold that matched five numbers but missed the Powerball number, which would have been worth $76,405, according to lottery officials.
The Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the Powerball game, has stated that the odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number are 1 in about 293 million.
