Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Franklin County

The $1 million win brings excitement to the Lone Star State.

The big jackpot still hasn’t been won, but someone who bought a Mega Millions ticket in Franklin County is several thousand dollars richer after Friday night’s drawing.

According to to the North Carolina Education Lottery, a ticket winning $10,000 was sold at the Hasty Mart convenience store attached to the BP station on Bickett Boulevard in Louisburg.

The lucky ticket matched the numbers on four of the white balls plus the gold Mega Ball to win that amount.

No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, which has now crossed the billion-dollar mark and stands at $1.1 billion for Tuesday night’s drawing.
