Kirkland Lake retiree $100k richer after Lotto Max win

Helene-Louise Vaillant, a Kirkland Lake resident, was pleased with her decision to accept Encore's invitation. In Oct. 26, 2021, Lotto Max draw, she matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order to win $100,000!

Helene, a 65-year-old retiree, said that she sometimes plays the lottery, but she always adds Encore to her ticket. After picking up her prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, she told a worker there that she mistakenly believed she had won $100 when she scanned her ticket with the OLG App while driving. "Until I saw the slip print off, I had no idea I'd won $100,000 when I presented the ticket to the store clerk for validation. My legs got weak as I began weeping!"

A screenshot of the OLG App's display was shared with Helene by her boyfriend, she claimed. His granddaughters were waiting for him at school when he arrived to pick us up, so they were all there in the shop to celebrate with us.

While she's remodeling her bathroom, Helene plans to save most of her savings for future purchases.

In addition to the 22 chances to win, Encore may be played in combination with most lottery games for an additional $1. Every day, there is an Encore draw, which you may win.

No appointments are currently scheduled at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto for those claims requiring a personal interview with an OLG representative. Customers who have won more than $50,000 should contact the prize claim hotline at 1-800-387-0098 for further information. Submissions of prize claims for amounts up to $49,999.90 may continue to be made through the mail. Our customers' and employees' health and safety is our top priority, and OLG looks forward to providing further updates on the availability of in-person prize claims in the near future!
