Kendal resident won about half a million lottery ticket, the player from Kendal is now half a million times richer than before. 

Ward won the Lightning Lotto jackpot on May 30, after first thinking he had only scored a free play.

And far from injuring him, it earned the Kendal resident $423,076.60.

When the clerk showed me the validation slip with my prize amount, it was unbelievable. This will make a big difference for me,” said the 71-year-old retiree.

“It will make a difference for them too,” he said.

 

The winning ticket was bought at Shell on King Avenue in Newcastle.
