He plans to retire early and secure his daughter's future

A Hastings dad has started his week feeling deeply moved by his million-dollar win after remembering his TattsLotto ticket consisted of numbers chosen by his beloved wife and daughter.

The Mornington Peninsula local held one of the five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4453, drawn Saturday 23 March 2024.

He looks forward to a total prize of $1,041,027.16. The winning man was completely oblivious to landing division one on the weekend until an official from The Lott phoned this morning to reveal the newfound fortune.

“No way! No way!” he gasped. “Ah really? Wow! “Yeah ok! I’m in a hell of a shock! “Can you read the figure out? I’m going to write it down!

“I’m just so dumbfounded. I can’t believe it. “I’m supposed to go to work later tonight for a 12-hour shift but maybe I won’t. “I’m going to tell my wife and daughter straight away! I think they’ll react the same as me – shock!

“My wife, daughter and I chose these numbers five years ago. I decided I would commit to purchasing regular TattsLotto tickets and asked them to choose six numbers.

“I’ve stuck with those numbers ever since.

“Oh boy, that’s some news!” The Melburnian shared that the lottery loot would allow him to retire a lot earlier than planned and set his daughter up for the future.

“Retirement is definitely on the cards and I’ll possibly be able to set my daughter up,” he revealed.

“Thank you so, so much!”
