Worcester woman won $1 million in instant ticket game, the winner will soon be $1 million times richer than before.
Melissa Lavin purchased her winning lottery ticket at Star Pizza & Variety at 1280 Grafton St. in Worcester.
Lavin claimed her prize on Nov. 9 and decided to get her winning as a one time lump sum and took home $650,000 before taxes, the lottery said.
The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning lottery ticket.
The largest lottery prize won so far this year in the commonwealth, worth $16.35 million.
