Winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million sold in Northbrook

A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold in Northbrook for Tuesday night's drawing.

The winning ticket was sold at Dundee & Sanders BP gas station, located at 4095 Dundee Rd. in Northbrook. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

The winning numbers were: 9-15-46-55-57 and the ticket matched all five numbers in the drawing. 

This is now the second Illinois Lottery player who has won a prize of $1 million or more playing Mega Millions already this year.

Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize.

Mega Millions is an American multijurisdictional lottery game, it is offered in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Mega Millions is drawn at 11 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday and Friday evenings, including holidays.
