Winning lottery ticket is sold out at London shop recently
A Canterbury woman won $20,000 playing the CT Lottery. Gina Sherman won playing Bonus Cash.
She purchased the lucky ticket Friday at Wasu Market in New London. The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.
The Connecticut Lottery only publishes names of people who win $10,000 or more, which officials claim is quite common.
"The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery!" officials said in a statement.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize, lottery officials said.
They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money and if not claimed then it will be donated to a charity.
