Wilmington Resident Wins $100,000 on Cash Payday Scratch-Off

Another Wilmington-area resident is celebrating a $100,000 lottery win after hitting the top prize on a Cash Payday scratch-off.

Timothy Winstead of Wilmington bought the $30 ticket at the Scotchman on Wrightsville Avenue. His ticket turned out to be a major winner, adding to a recent streak of big Cash Payday prizes in the area. A Southport man also won $100,000 in early July.

After taxes, Winstead received $72,018.
