Unclaimed $100,000 Powerball Prize in Gastonia, North Carolina

Lottery officials are reminding Powerball players in North Carolina to check their tickets for the Oct. 5 drawing, as a $100,000 prize remains unclaimed and will expire on Tuesday, April 4.

The winning $3 Power Play ticket was purchased at the Lake Wylie Mini Mart located on 7015 Union Road in Gastonia.

The ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball, earning the ticket holder the $100,000 prize.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 26, 30, 33, 37, 62, with the Powerball number being 6.

Mark Michalko, the executive director of the lottery, is urging players to check their tickets and claim their prize before the expiration date.

He hopes the winner will come forward soon so they can celebrate their big win.
