U.S. Army Engineer Wins Over $100,000 in North Carolina Lottery
Brandon Jones, a U.S. Army electrical mechanical engineer, recently purchased a $5 Super Loteria ticket in the North Carolina Education Lottery. When he scratched off his ticket, he was shocked to discover that he had won over $100,000.
After taxes, Jones took home $106,876, which he said he plans to use to save for the future and eventually buy or build a house. The young engineer described the moment of realizing he had won as a "big jolt to your body, like adrenaline. Pretty cool."
Jones purchased his winning ticket from Home Run Market in Salisbury, which is about 40 miles northeast of Charlotte. The North Carolina Education Lottery offers a variety of games and scratch-off tickets, with the chance to win big prizes like Jones did.
As Jones moves forward with his winnings, he can take comfort in knowing that his hard work as an electrical mechanical engineer in the U.S. Army has paid off in a big way. And who knows? Maybe his next big win will come in the form of a successful project or invention
