Two big winning lottery tickets are sold out in Berks recently

While it is April Fools' Day, Pennsylvania Lottery officials say this is no joke. Two stores, two games and two big prizes were won in Berks County.

A Rite Aid in Exeter Township sold a jackpot-winning Match 6 ticket, and a deli in Reading sold a Powerball ticket that hit for a million dollars. "I'd be honest with you.

People actually tell me to pick the number or to pick the ticket for them, because the guy told me that he hit it because of me," said Josue Paulino, owner of Paulino Deli and Grocery on North Ninth Street in Reading.

Paulino has seen plenty of people walk through his family-run deli and grocery store to buy lottery tickets. But he's never sold a million dollar Powerball winning ticket — until now.

Paulino said his Monday started with a call from Pennsylvania Lottery officials. "I pick up the phone and realize that, 'Oh, you got a big winner,'" Paulino said.
