Someone in Shelton resident won lottery worth $20,000 lottery, the winner will soon be $20k times richer than before.

An area resident recently purchased a winning lottery ticket in Shelton, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased from Alhamwi Enterprises LLC in Shelton.

The winner has not yet came forward to claim the lottery prize, more information will be released once the lottery ticket is claimed. 

The winner has 180 days from the day of draw to claim the lottery prize, afterwards the lottery ticket will expire and won't be claimed.
