S.C. man gives his lottery winnings worth $150k for Charity
A man from South Carolina who won Powerball jackpot worth $150,000 has given all of his lottery winnings to Charity.
The winning ticket was sold at the GT Express Mart at 1800 Easley Bridge Road in Greenville. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $1,500 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.
"I hit enough to make someone happy," he told the lottery officials.
He initially won $50,000 after matching all numbers but missing the Powerball, but because he also paid to enter PowerPlay for an additional dollar. That tripled his $50,000 win to $150,000.
Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
