Quick Stop at Party World Leads to $1M Lottery Win
A Newaygo County man is still wrapping his head around a life-changing $1 million Super Raffle win, all thanks to a quick stop at what many call the “luckiest store in Michigan.”
The 29-year-old said he was already hyped about the Super Raffle because of its strong odds. He’d been telling friends and family to grab a ticket, especially with huge prizes — including a $6 million top payout — up for grabs.
His big moment started back in July when he swung into Party World in Comstock Park, a store proudly known for its streak of selling major winning tickets. That’s where he picked up his $50 Super Raffle ticket, thinking nothing more of it at the time.
Fast-forward to the drawing day.
He got a call from his wife — in tears. At first, he feared the worst. Instead, she shouted: “You won $1 million!” He still didn’t buy it until she sent a picture of the winning ticket.
Once he confirmed it himself, he said his heart was pounding and the whole moment felt surreal.
Winning Ticket Details:

Michigan Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli also gave a shout-out to Party World for keeping its decade-long streak alive as a hotspot for massive prizes.
The state has seen its share of lucky streaks. In 2024, the Breakfast Club lottery group claimed an $842 million jackpot, planning to use their fortune for travel and a Florida home. On the flip side, a $250,000 Powerball winner from Bloomfield Hills went unclaimed last year — a reminder to always check your tickets.
