A point Cook man couldn’t believe his eyes when he scratched a life-enhancing $150,000 top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
Speaking with an official from The Lott, the winning man said he thought he’d won a lot less before being knocked off his chair by the revelation he’d won a major prize of $150k.
"At first I thought it was a $1,000 win, then I thought it was $15,000, but as I was talking to my daughter and giving her the news, I said, ‘Hang on, I think it’s actually $150,000,” he exclaimed.
Laverton Authorised Newsagency owner Manoj Gupta said he was ecstatic to sell the store’s first Instant Scratch-Its top prize win. The store will get $2000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
"We want to wish them good luck in the future and hope they enjoy their celebrations", ticket distributor said.
