Penticton Resident Wins Big in Lake Life Lottery, Chooses $70,000 Cash Prize

A resident of Penticton, Louise Dozois, has clinched the top prize in the second annual Lake Life Lottery.

She works at the Penticton Regional Hospital and is now the fortunate recipient of the Lake Life Lottery bonus prize.

When given the choice between the cash option of $70,000 and an Avalon 2185 GS Cruise pontoon boat from Dockside Tow & Stow, Louise opted for the cash prize.

She already has plans for her winnings, which she shared in a media release from Lake Life Lottery issued on October 24.

Louise expressed her intentions, saying, "I’m going to invest in my future, put money away for my grandchildren, and get my eyes done so I no longer have to wear prescription glasses. This unexpected lottery win has me reflecting on what the future holds. It just got much brighter. I know that money doesn’t buy happiness, but it sure helps it along."
