Ontario Paramedic Wins $100,000 in Lottery with Forgotten Ticket
Shai Minaker, a 27-year-old paramedic from Omemee, Ontario, was surprised to discover that a forgotten Christmas gift from her father turned out to be a winning lottery ticket worth $100,000.
She had received a Crossword Tripler ticket in 2022, and upon finding a similar ticket from the year before, decided to scan it and check the results.
She was shocked to see that she had won the game's top prize and felt nauseous with excitement.
Minaker plans to use the money for her honeymoon, finish some home renovations, and save the rest.
The winning ticket was purchased at Parklaine Variety on Park Street in Peterborough. The store will receive a bonus of $1,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.
