Ohio Woman Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize, Takes Home $366,625

An Ohio woman and her family are celebrating a life-changing lottery win after a lucky scratch-off ticket brought them a $1 million prize.

Kimberlin Sawyer purchased several $10 Black Titanium Scratch-Off tickets at a Meijer store in Huber Heights, near Dayton. One ticket revealed the game's top prize, awarding her $40,000 annually for 25 years.

When Sawyer realized she had won, she called her husband but struggled to get the words out. The couple had previously agreed to use a secret phrase, "Meet me at Frickers," if either of them ever won the lottery. Instead, she blurted out, "I just scratched a million dollars!"

How Will the Family Spend Their Winnings?

After choosing the lump-sum payment and accounting for taxes, the Sawyers will take home $366,625.

The win has given the family a chance to pursue a longtime dream: buying their own home. Sawyer also shared how excited she felt after discovering her good fortune, saying she looked in the mirror and told herself, "You did it girl!"

The couple celebrated their incredible luck in the perfect way by heading out to dinner at Frickers, the same place mentioned in their long-standing lottery-winning plan.

More chances to win: The Ohio Lottery confirmed that three top prizes remain available in the Black Titanium Scratch-Off game.
