Ohio Man Wins Lottery Twice at Same Gas Station Within Weeks

An Ohio man is calling one local gas station his “lucky spot” after hitting two lottery wins there in just a few weeks.

Richard, from Brunswick, scored a $5,000 prize first and then came back later to land another $10,000 win — both from scratch-off tickets bought at the same Valero station.

Here’s the wild part:

  • First win: March 28 with an Ultimate $5,000,000 scratcher
  • Second win: April 24 with a Billion ticket
  • Total winnings: $15,000

Richard said he was completely stunned after the second win and felt like his prayers had finally been answered. After taxes, he’ll take home about $10,987.50, which he plans to use to replace the roof on his house.

The back-to-back wins come as another Ohio lottery player recently grabbed headlines with an even bigger payday — a massive $3.5 million Classic Lotto jackpot.

That winner, who stayed anonymous, had been playing the exact same numbers for more than 22 years. Despite mostly small wins over the years, he stuck with his routine, spending about $10 a month on tickets and even asking his best friend to buy them when he was out of town.

When the February 4 drawing numbers came up — 6, 8, 16, 20, 26, and 45 — he recognized them instantly from memory and realized he had finally hit the jackpot.

His reaction? Pure excitement. He immediately shouted the news to his wife and celebrated by promising her something they had talked about for years: a huge swimming pool.

The lucky winner chose the cash option worth $1.7 million and will take home around $1,281,875 after taxes. He also announced his retirement and says he now plans to:

  • Buy a new home
  • Build a home gym
  • Add the dream pool for his wife

According to the Ohio Lottery, the odds of winning the Classic Lotto jackpot are about 1 in 13.9 million.
