North Vancouver Man Wins $5 Million Lotto 6/49 Jackpot with Impulsive Ticket Purchase
Simon Pleau, a man from North Vancouver who doesn't typically play the lottery, recently purchased a ticket on a whim and ended up winning a $5-million Lotto 6/49 jackpot, according to the BC Lottery Corporation.
Pleau bought the ticket at a Safeway in Lynn Valley while celebrating a new job with a bottle of champagne.
After discovering that he had won the jackpot on the same night as the draw, Pleau informed his wife that they had another reason to celebrate.
However, despite the sudden windfall, he has no plans to quit his new job as a software engineer.
