North Easton Resident Wins $1 Million Massachusetts State Lottery Prize
Sandra Guarino, a resident of North Easton, Massachusetts, has won a $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Guarino had her heart set on buying a "$2,000,000 50X Cashword" scratch ticket and searched several convenience stores for it.
After coming up empty at the first store, she tried another in Easton, where she found her lucky ticket and won the game's second-largest prize.
Guarino collected her winnings in the form of a one-time cash payment and took home $650,000 before taxes and plans to use some of it to pay off her mortgage, according to lottery officials.
The lucky winner has not yet revealed how she plans to spend the rest of her winnings, but she is undoubtedly enjoying her newfound wealth.
