North Carolina man won Cash 5 ticket worth $100,000

A lucky man from North Carolina named Eric Stajos won a whopping sum of $100,000 playing $1 Cash 5 ticket game of North Carolina Education Lottery. 

The winning ticket was purchased using Online Play on the lottery’s website. And the winner matched all five white balls in the drawing. 

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home a lump-sum amount of $78,111 after state and federal taxes. 

The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is run by the government of North Carolina.

The revenue distributions are as follows: 51% was paid out in prizes, 38% was transferred into the education fund, 7% was paid to the retailers who sold lottery tickets, and 4% went to general lottery expenses.
