Mount Dora man won $5 million playing $20 scratch-off game

A man from Mount Dora named Kevin Heald won $5 million prize by playing $20 Monopoly Doubler scratch-off game of Florida Lottery. 

The winning Scratch-Off ticket was purchased from M8M Investments LLC at 6550 North Orange Blossom Trail in Mount Dora. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $5000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Heald recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home lump-sum payment of $3,994,698 after taxes.

The Florida Lottery is the government-operated lottery of the U.S. state of Florida.

Florida Lottery instant games range in price from $1 to $30, with higher priced tickets typically putting out a higher percentage of sales back into prizes. Payouts range from 58% to almost 77% of sales and average 70%.
