Michigan Lotto 47 Jackpot Hits Record $32.91 Million With Single Winner
Michigan just saw history in the making. The largest Lotto 47 jackpot ever — a massive $32.91 million — has officially been won, ending a nearly eight-month wait for a grand prize winner.
The lucky ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Saturday, December 13: 02-03-12-15-16-33. This win beats the previous Lotto 47 record of $32.3 million set back in November 2020, when two players had to split the prize. This time, it’s all going to one winner.
The winning ticket was sold at Wild Bills Tobacco on Gratiot Avenue in Chesterfield, about 30 miles north of Detroit. The jackpot winner now has one full year from the draw date to step forward and claim the prize in person at Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing.
A few quick highlights:
-

-
? Winner has one year to claim the prize
Lotto 47 is simple to play — players choose six numbers from 1 to 47, and matching all six delivers the jackpot.
Michigan has seen big lottery moments before. In June 2024, the Breakfast Club lottery group made headlines after claiming an $842 million Mega Millions prize, with plans to buy a Florida home and travel. But not every story ends happily — a $250,000 Powerball ticket sold in Bloomfield Hills in 2024 was never claimed, and the money ended up supporting the state’s School Aid Fund.
