Massachusetts player wins historic $1 million Keno prize

A lucky player has won the first $1 million Keno prize in the history of the game, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold on March 22 and purchased as a 12-spot play with consecutive numbers 1 through 12 at Zenner's Pub & Deli in Pittsfield.

The odds of matching 12 numbers in a 12-spot game are 1 in 478,261,833. Other large Keno prizes were also won during the same drawing, with all the winners choosing consecutive numbers starting with 1 for their tickets.

In Keno, players select up to 12 numbers and wager between $1 and $20 on each drawing. They can play up to 30 consecutive drawings with the same numbers.
