Massachusetts Lottery Player Wins $500,000 Scratch Ticket Prize

A routine stop at a Massachusetts convenience store turned into a $500,000 lottery win for one lucky ticket holder this week.

The Massachusetts State Lottery announced that Jo’s Dime Trust of Worcester has claimed the top prize in the $500,000 Frenzy $50 scratch ticket game. The trust was represented by trustee Katherine Wally.

Wally chose to collect the winnings through a one-time lump-sum payment of $500,000 before taxes.

The winning scratch ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms, located at 502 Washington St. in Auburn.
